Set up filters in Gmail

Gmail Filters are notoriously aggressive if your website email redirects to Gmail always set up a filter, this prevents important enquiries from your website going into your Gmails spam box

  1. Login to Gmail and click the gear icon (settings) in the top left corner
  2. Click ‘see all settings’
  3. Click on ‘settings’ in the dropdown menu Click ‘filters and blocked addresses’
  4. Click ‘create new filter’ Enter your Email Address (example@mysite.co.uk) into the ‘from’ field
  5. Click ‘create filter’
  6. Tick the following boxes ‘never send to spam’ ‘always mark as important’ ‘categorise as’ then select primary in the dropdown
  7. Click the ‘Create filter’ button
